*|MC:SUBJECT|*
Two New Coffees:
Honduras Angel Vasquez & Guatemala Huehuetenango

Honduras Angel Vasquez

Angel Vasquez has coffee farms located in neighboring towns of El Sute and El Mineral, Honduras. This mountainous region sees some of the higher altitude farms, with his farm reaching 1,500 meters above sea level. Don Angel has 6 hectares of coffee between his two farms, both planted in hearty arabica coffee plants which are disease resistant and tend to have some herbal characteristics. The cup also has surprising fruited character and balanced acidity.

We taste: melon, passion fruit, creamy

Guatemala Huehuetenango

This coffee comes from small-holder farmers in the highlands of Huehuetenango (“way-way-tenango”). This coffee represents the success of a partnership which offered farmers higher prices if their coffee met specific quality expectations in the cup. Farmers being paid more for their hard work? Yes, please! Delicious coffee being saved  from the fate of being blended in with lower quality coffee? Yes, please, and thank you!

We taste: pineapple, nougat, almond

Colombia For A Cause

Not only does this coffee represent the work of many farmers coming together, it also represents our local community coming together. Why? Because this Spring (March-May), $1 from every bag sold will be donated directly to the Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster and Philadelphia. (We’ll also donate $5 for every 5 lb bag sold.)

The Boys & Girls Club’s mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
